Speaking Recommendations
All the teachers were very impressed with your presentation. I've heard comments about how down-to-earth and personable you were, that you had great information to share with the kids about the process of writing & publishing books, and the 8th grade language arts teacher was pleased that what you said fit so perfectly with their careers unit.
The kids were buzzing about you as well. They enjoyed the presentations and were so excited when I brought them their signed books at the end of the day. Those who didn't order one were all wishing they did!
I appreciate your time and effort in delivering three age appropriate presentations. They really were perfectly done for each of the age groups.

Comments from the attendees of the Wisconsin State Reading Association Annual Convention in Milwaukee, when Lorbiecki presented:
“Marybeth demonstrated an enthusiastic joy for writing and reading!”
“I love her excitement. She was very energetic. Very interesting topic she covered.”
“Your experiences and journey of becoming an author is informative and motivational. Thank you.”
—Gail Halmstad, President Wisconsin State Reading Association
"Marybeth Lorbiecki has been a visiting author at both schools where I work as the school librarian. Marybeth fully engages and delights her audience capturing the attention of both students and teachers. Her presentations are educational and fun for all in attendance, and draw upon the variety of books she has written. She conveys to her audience her love of reading and writing books and beautifully shares her enthusiasms. I personally feel she's a fun author to study and a delightful author to meet and hear in person!"

Team writing results in adventure for all
Mequon NOW, Feb. 25, 2009, Reporter Mary Buckley
Imagine writing a story with 185 children as co-authors, and doing it in an hour. Award-winning author Marybeth Lorbiecki took on that task during a writing session with the kindergarten, first- and second-grade students at Oriole Lane Elementary School last week as part of her three-day visit to the Mequon-Thiensville School District.
… It was an hour of organized chaos - wiggling children, hands raised in the air and lots of appreciative, and sometimes raucous, laughter. Within 40 minutes, Lorbiecki, with the help of her small helpers, had spun the framework of a children's adventure story ... Each one of you will get a personal copy of the story, and you can illustrate it," Principal Mary Jo Tye said to the students.. .. For the full story ...
